Our Correspondent
HOWRAGHAT, April 12:  The Assam University Diphu Campus Teachers’ Association staged a one-hour protest in front of the university’s Administrative Building for non-fulfilment of their pervious demands recently. After the protest, the teachers’ body placed a 20-point charter of demands to the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Assam University Diphu Campus, Prof. Sivasish Biswas as aide memoire of the preceding difficulties.
The teachers under the banner of Assam University Diphu Campus Teachers’ Association organized the protest to mount force for fulfilment of their 20-point charter of demands. The teachers demanded release of white paper on several pertinent issues, inclusion of Assam University Diphu Campus faculty in the senior list, adequate representation from Diphu Campus in Planning Committee and Building Committee, separate representative in BPGS, and pay fixation under CAS/GPS/pension.
