Assamese books now available in Amazon

GUWAHATI, May 2: Good news for the book lovers, from now on more than five hundred Assamese books will be available in popular online marketing site amazon.in. The books are available from five famous publications in the first phase and these are Jyoti Prakashan, Balata, Purbanchal, Banful and Aak bak. Talking to The Sentinel, Sumitra Jogi the proprietor of Aak Bak publication said, “It is a positive news for the State.” Jogi also urged the writers and readers for their support and co-operation as it can add mileage to the journey of Assamese book industry. ndita Mahanta a student of Gauhati University told to The Sentinel, “It is a good initiative that filly Assamese books are available in online marketing.”
