Distributing the cheques to the beneficiaries, Hitendra th Goswami, Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Member of Parliament,Jorhat Lok Sabha emphasized on taking the scheme to the maximum people. They requested Health Department to do wide spread publicity for the card system under Atal Amrit Abhiyan recently started in Jorhat. In the card system, a family with an income of Rs. 5 lakhs or less would be able to take benefit of quality healthcare by producing the card at the empanelled hospitals throughout the state and the country.
