ASSU's sixth annual conference

Kokrajhar, March 21: The All Assam Santal  Students’ Union (ASSU), Kokrajhar district committee will organize its 6th annual conference coinciding with its 10th foundation day celebration on March 25 and March 26 at Amguri Mahamilon ME School playground.

On the first day, a semir on the topic ‘Importance of quality education among Santals’ will be presented by Shyam Tudu while Assistant Professor Annias Hembrom of Kokrajhar Government College will present on the topic ‘Development of Persolity through Education’.

Jothan Murmu, president of ASSU Kokrajhar district committee, will hoist the organizatiol flag in the morning followed by floral tribute to the martyrs on the second day.

Smt Esther Kisku, founder president of Adivasi Mahila Jalyan Parishad will speak on ‘Role of Santal women and weakness in society’. A semir on ‘Importance of Santali Language and Literature in present Santal Society’ and ‘Responsibilities of Guardians/Parents/Village Headman in present society for bringing all round development of Children’ will also be held. An open session will be chaired by Jothan Murmu. BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary will grace the session as chief guest. President of ASSU, central committee Kain Kumar Hembrom will be the appointed speaker. Adivasi leaders of various organizations will be present on the occasion, organizers informed.
