ATASU organizes Mukoli Bihu

DEMOW, April 16: Under the patroge of All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU), Demow Regiol Committee, and with the help of the former ATASU leaders, Mukoli Bihu was organized at Demow Public Playground on April 15 with a day-long programme.

As per schedule, the programme started with Bihuwan and the flag of ATASU was hoisted respectively by Manuranjan Konwar, president of the organizing committee, and Jayanti Gogoi, president of All Tai Students’ Union (ATASU), Demow Regiol Committee. The senior citizens of Demow and its surrounding areas were felicitated and Bihu special food items were distributed to them by ATASU, Demow Regiol Committee.

After that the egg fight competition was also organized in the Mukoli Bihu programme. The Mukoli Bihu programme started with the performance of Lok th Gogoi, famous pepa artiste of Demow. The Mukoli Bihu programme was iugurated by Arun Gogoi, founder secretary of ATASU. The Athabari Tai Ahom team, Lai Lung Kham Dance team of Doi- Patkai Society, Patsaku Tai Bihu team, popular Upper Nimaijan Sanmilita Husori team, Sivasagar Girls’ College Sanmilita Husori team, -Jun Husori team and Deori Mahila Samiti Bihu team performed in the Mukoli Bihu programme on Saturday at Demow Public Playground.
