ATASU stages dhar against power cuts

GAURISAGAR, Aug 22: All Tai Ahom Students’ Union(ATASU) Gaurisagar Regiol Committee on Tuesday staged dhar at Gaurisagar electrical division under Upper Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (UAPDCL) in association with ATASU  regiol committees  under Amguri LAC,  for immediate solution to the problem of frequent power cuts, installation of RCC pole by  replacing  bamboo post  in the electric conductor, provide fencing in the barred  transformer and free electricity connection to BPL families.

A good number of ATASU  activists hailing from various parts of Amguri constituency gathered and shouted slogans. Later, ATASU Gaurisagar Regiol Committee  submitted a memorandum to the Subdivisiol Engineer, Gaurisagar Electrical Division signed by  Bimal Phukan and Tridip Jyoti Gogoi, president and secretary respectively of ATASUGaurisagar Regiol Committee.
