ATASU takes out motorcycle rally demanding ST status

DULIAJAN, June 5 : The activists of Dibrugarh district committee of All Tai Ahom Students Union (ATASU) on Friday morning  took out a bike rally from Tinghkhang via Duliajan to Dibrugarh  in protest against the delay  in granting Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to their community, immediate decrease of price rate and take initiative for  recruitment of Adivasi youths  in BCPL, Dibrugarh.

ATASU’s Dibrugarh district committee president Miram Gogoi, working president Jiten Baruah and joint secretaries Dibrunda Hazarika and Pranjal Changmai expressed in a press communiqué that if the Union Government and State Government  are not interested  for solving their problems they threatened that they would launch  massive protest in the status.
