Athletics events to begin on Feb 9

GUWAHATI, Jan 31: The opening day of the athletics event in the 12th South Asian Games will decide the fastest men and women athletes of the tourment. The fil of both 100 mts race for men and women will be held on February 9, the iugural day of the meet. As per the schedule available, the four -day athletics event will be held in the afternoon session and will kick off at 4PM. There will be altogether 12 events on Day I and the fil of both 100 mts races will be the last event of the day. Men’s fil will start at 6-15 PM and the women fil will be followed 15 minutes later. The athletic events which will be the part of the 12th South Asian Games are: Men: - 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10000m, Marathon, 110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shotput, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, Javelin Throw, 4X100m Relay, 4X400m Relay. Women: - 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10000m, Marathon, 100m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shotput, Javelin Throw, 4X100m Relay, 4X400m Relay.
