Athletics Meet to begin before inaugural function

GUWAHATI, June 18: The opening ceremony of the 58th National Inter State Athletic championship will be held at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai in the afternoon of June 26. According to the schedule released by the Athletic Federation of India the opening ceremony of the competition will kickoff at 3-30 in the afternoon. Apart from the teams march past the inaugural function will witness a few other events too. However the competition will begin in the morning of June 26. Women 800mts heats would be the first event in the championship and it will be held at 6-45 in the morning.
