ATP World Tour Fils may move from London to Moscow'

Moscow, Oct 27 : The ATP (Association of Tennis Professiols) World Tour Fils, held annually at the O2 Are in London, may be relocated to Moscows new VTB Are in the future, the head of the are Andrei Peregudov has said. The ATP World Tour Fils is an annual professiol men’s tennis tourment featuring top eight players in singles competitions and top eight pairs in doubles competitions based upon the results of an ATP season, reports Tass.

The prestigious tourment was first held in 1970. Since then it was held at different venues, but starting in 2009 and until the present day it has been hosted annually by the O2 Are in London. “I have shown the ATP magement around our are and now they are thinking about giving a shake to the history (of holding ATP tourments),” Peregudov said on Wednesday. “The O2 Are, which has been hosting the tourment, is a good venue, but the changes are necessary.”

The ATP World Tour Fils tourment is regard as the fifth most important tennis event following all Grand Slam series and has a total of $7 million in prize money up for grabs. IANS
