Attempt to loot money

MARGHERITA, June 30: A miscreant allegedly tried to loot Rs 40,000 from a physically challenged person when he went to withdraw the money from State Bank of India, Margherita Branch. Shibu Barhoi, whose right leg was injured during an accident, and a resident of Therl Road, Margherita, said, “Today at 3 pm when I went to withdraw the money, a tall man was following me and when I came out from the bank with the money, the youth sprayed something on my body due to which my body started itching. After that I took my scooter to the petrol pump to fill petrol and at that time that youth broke my scooter’s lock but failed to take the money.” Conscious people of Margherita have urged the Margherita administration to take strict action against such petty thieves.
