Golaghat, Aug 26: Activists of Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA) of Golaghat district committee burnt effigies of Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Sahai on Friday, at Rongajan Chariali, for failing to arrest the prime culprit involved in the disrespect of the statue of founder secretary of ATTSA Santosh Kumar Toppo, at Moran. The activists shouted various slogans against the Sonowal led State government. The president and secretary of the association, Nurul Ali and Rahul Ganju, slammed the Assam government and the police administration for not being able to apprehend the culprit who shamelessly disrespected the statue of the ATTSA community leader.
