ATTSA miffed over non-fulfilment of demands

TINSUKIA, May 5: The Assam Tea Tribe Students’ Association (ATTSA) will resort to agitation for non-fulfilment of their demands related to the Pengeree incident. At a press meet on Thursday, central executive member Jatin Boraik flanked by Rupesh Tanti, Bijoy Tanti, Jogeswar Kurmi and district secretary Anuj Tanti declared that on May 10, the ATTSA will gherao the DC’s office in Tinsukia. Alleging that the magisterial enquiry was an eyewash, the State Government neither ordered a CBI enquiry nor made any commitment on compensation to the families of the victims as demanded by ATTASA.
