ATTSA stages demonstration

TINSUKIA, April 22: The All Assam Tea Tribe Students’ Union staged a demonstration on Friday in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Tinsukia here. The AATTSA has demanded a CBI inquiry into the Pengeree incident, in which 11 persons were killed in police firing.

GOLAGHAT: Activists of Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA), Golaghat district committee also staged two hours dhar near Deputy Commissioner’s office of Golaghat on Friday demanding a CBI probe into Pengeree incident. More than 200 activists took part in this demonstration. While addressing the gathering, president Jagdish Bbaraik and general secretary Pranjal Pradhan demanded immediate arrest of the culprit involved in killing for of Suni Gorh and Lakhimoni Gorh. A memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat in this regard.
