ATTSA stages sit-in at Amgoorie TE

GAURISAGAR, MARCH 29:  TheAssam Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA), Amgoorie Tea Estate Primary Unit recently staged a two-hour dhar programme in front of Amgoorie Tea Estate office for solving their long-standing  demands.  
Later, a memorandum was submitted to the authority of the TE signed  by Deepjyoti Karmakar and Shrawan Keot, president and secretary respectively ATTSA, Amgoorie Tea Estate Primary Unit. In the memorandum they demanded appointment of local youths in  vacant posts of the TE, promotion of employees  who have been dedicatedly working since long in the TE, increasing remuneration of teachers in  TE  schools, grant  of leave in TE labourers,  establishing TB laboratory outside the TE hospital, providing street lights  in the main roads of the TE and free medical treatment facility for retired labourers.
The organization asked the TE authority to fulfill their demands within 15 days or they will launch an agitation.
