Atul Bora, Mril Saikia condemn burning of gamosa

Golaghat (Dhekial), Sept 19:  State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and MLA of Khutmai LAC, Mril Saikia on Tuesday expressed resentment to the alleged burning of Assamese gamosa in Juria of gaon district, while talking to media persons in Golaghat.  Mril Saikia said, “It is not surprising that the gamuosa was burnt in a place like Juria which is where full of illegal immigrants. Where the illegal immigrants are there, such incidents will happen.”

Minister Atul Bora also condemned the incident that took place in Juria of gaon district and demanded a high-level probe into the incident. He said that already the Chief Minister had declared a probe into the incident. On Tuesday, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and MLA Khumtai LAC had come to attend a review meeting with officials of various departments of the district held in Golaghat Circuit House.

The meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra, was attended by minister Atul Bora, Dergaon MLA Bhabendra th Bharali, Khumtail MLA Mril Saikia, heads of various government departments and other district administration officials. Atul Bora instructed the department officials concerned to take necessary initiative for overall development of the district.
