Autism month observed

SILCHAR, May 6: ‘Era amader’, NGO, and a resident unit for multiple disable children celebrated ‘Autism month’ on April 30, here. World Autism Day is observed on April 2 and the whole month of April is observed as ‘Autism month’. The programme was conducted according to the direction of the secretary of the NGO, rayani Deb. Guardians of autistic children, members of the club and others participated in the programme. The members present gave speeches. Bimalendu Das, assistant secretary, said that the NGO is thriving towards securing a better and bright future for the differently abled children. It was decided in the programme that in the middle of August, a three-day workshop-cum-awareness programme will be conducted. The workshop will be done under the direction of Professor Dr. Mallika Banerjee, department of Psychology, Calcutta University. On behalf of ‘Era amader’, everyone has been requested to remain in contact with the NGO so that the NGO can spread its wings and a bright world can be created for the autistic children.
