Award for meritorious students

Golaghat (Dhekial), August 22: Three meritorious students of Betioni area were felicitated with  educatiol award on Sunday at Betioni Higher Secondary School.

Lilakanta Rajkhowa and Aideo Rajkhowa Memorial Award was given to  Juli Gohain and Sumi Duarah respectively and Mineswari Duarah Memorial Award was given to Bidyut Tamuly, a Class IX student who secured 95 per cent above marks in the examition.

In this regard a meeting was held under the president ship of Ratneswar Dutta, former Principal of Betioni Higher Secondary School and the aim of the meeting was elaborated by Principal Jagat Chandra Bhuyan of Betioni Higher Secondary School. Addressing the meritorious students, Ranjit Barman, Head of the Department of Science Technology and Environment of Guahati University and Professor Dr. Jogen Chandra Kalita, Zoology Department of Guahati University delivered speeches.

In the meeting the donor of the memorial award, Professor of Zoology Department of Cotton College State University, Ratul Rajkhowa and Dr bajyoti Duarah, gendra th Bora, jourlist Samiran Diganta Bora and Bharat Dutta were present.
