Awareness created on judicious use of water

Dibrugarh, March 24 : World Water Day was observed by the Field Engineering Department of Oil India Limited (OIL) recently with various awareness programme at its field head quarter at Duliajan to create awareness on conservation as well as judicious use of the precious resource ‘water’.

The United tions desigted March 22 of every year as World Water Day as a means of focusing attention on the importance of conservation of water and advocating for the sustaible magement of water and water resources. The theme of this year was ‘Water and Jobs’. This year’s theme focuses on how enough quantity and quality of water can change workers’ lives and livelihood and even transform societies and economics.

OIL as a part of the global fraternity has been organizing various awareness programmes since 2010 and this year’s observance of World Water Day event was a part of public education campaign that encourages all to learn about conservation of water and its judicious use.
