In the meeting all teams, election officials of Deputy Commissioner’s Office and all heads of the departments of Karbi Anglong district were given sensitization on the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP). Atul Chandra Kalita, member of SVEEP, appealed to all Heads of Departments to make aware people about the assembly polls by distributing pamphlets, leaflet and posters. The Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong, Mukul Gogoi also urged to all heads of the departments to promote voters so that their valuable vote should not be wastes. A section of voters fail to cast their votes due to lack of awareness of voting and at the end their votes are wasted, Gogoi added. Educating voters is important so that voters’ valuable votes are not wasted, he added. Meanwhile, the poll awareness observer spoke elaborately on the SVEEP and asked all heads of departments to spread the experience of voting among the new and old voters.
