Awareness programme against drug abuse, illicit trafficking held

MARGHERITA, June 26: Intertiol Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed at Margherita Block Conference Hall on Sunday.

The programme was organized by Margherita Subdivision administration in collaboration with Legal Awareness Network Centre, Margherita.

The programme was presided over by Kuludhar Konwar, senior citizen of Margherita. Margherita Subdivisiol Police Officer Imuddin Ahmed, Margherita Subdivision Administration Extra Commissioner Dmithun Borgiary, Margherita Town Committee vice-chairman Bhim Karmakar, Margherita Civil Hospital Superintendent Dr KC Das, Legal Awareness Network Centre, Margherita president Papu Sah, Margherita Students’ Union leaders, NGOs and other people were present at today’s programme.

Meanwhile, Intertiol Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was also observed at Ledo Bazaar 5 Number Line Anganwadi Centre by Ledo and Hamukjan Gaon Panchayat Anganwadi workers and helpers. All the Anganwadi workers and helpers took out a procession holding placards and shouted slogans against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. An awareness meeting was also organized.
