Awareness programme held at Ampati

AMPATI, Oct 26: An awareness programme on housekeeping and security guard under Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) was today held for the youth of South West Garo Hills at Ampati Multi Facility Centre near here. Close to 100 youth from Ampati, Zikzak, Betasing & Mahendraganj registered their mes and attended the programme organized by the South West Garo Hills district administration in collaboration with the Delhi based company Peregrine Guarding Pvt Ltd. The programme aimed at creating awareness on human resource development through various skill development programmes under MSSDS and especially the training and placement of candidates for housekeeping and security guards. Addressing the gathering as chief guest, South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner CVD Diengdoh urged the youth to grasp the opportunity with both hands. He stated that the government has undertaken the initiative to fill the gap in human resource development through the MSSDS.
