Awareness programme on EVM and VVPAT

Boko: The Kamrup district administration organized an awareness programme on EVM and VVPAT (voters verification papers audit trail) for the upcoming Lok Sabha election at the Block Development Office, Boko on Wednesday for 35 villagers from eight villages under Boko Police Station.

Four master trainers were engaged for the purpose and they are Praneswar Nath, Niranjan Mahanta, Pranab Sarma and Prahlad Bharali. Praneswar Nath said that VVPAT would be introduced in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The awareness programme started from February 25 at Boko, Chayygaon and Palasbari constituencies under Kamrup (rural) district. Boko circle officer Pinki Dutta said that the awareness programme would conclude on March 10.
