Awareness programme on hygiene at Mohanbari TE

Dibrugarh, April 9: An extension programme on ‘Awareness regarding health and hygiene’ was held in the CPC of Mohanbari Tea Estate on Saturday. The programme was organized by the Cell for Innovations and Best Practices (IQ AC) and Home Science department of Monohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College (MDKG) in collaboration with the NGO, Bal Sakha, Assam.

The demonstration of the programme was done by Anjuma Sulta Haque, Priti Deka Baruah, Kabyashri Dev, Dimpi Das, Tashrin Hussain , Ishita Mitra, Lumoni Sonowal and Amika Dutta, and students of the Home Science department of MDKG college. The students presented a colorful demonstration using posters and flash care prepared by them. The audience, numbering above 50 children and women of the tea gardens, actively interacted in the programme.

The college was represented by Prof. Sanghamitra Saikia, Prof Manisha Dutta Hazarika, Dr. Mashi Sharma, Prof. Suresh Bhattacharyya, Prof. Bani Das and Dr. Moutushi Bagchi, Co-orditor of IQAC. The programme was arranged and supported by Dr. Aditya Kr. Chatterjee, Secretary of Bal Sakha, Assam and Peter g, Animator of CPC, Mohunbari T.E.

Markus g, Health Assistant of Mohanbari TE, urged the people to be careful regarding health and hygiene.

Later, the Mager of the TE, B.Arju , thanked the authorities of MDKG College and Bal Sakha Assam for arranging the programme. He hoped that such awareness programmes would be held more regularly in the coming days.
