Awareness programme on persol and public hygiene

Dibrugarh, March 15: An awareness programme on persol and public hygiene under the aegis of Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of MDK Girls’ College was held at ndeswar Chakrabarty High School here recently.

One of the main objectives of PTA is to bridge the gap between the college and the community and to promote awareness on some pertinent issues of the society. Keeping this aim in view, the PTA organized an elaborate programme demonstrated with colorful illustrations by the students of MDKG College.

The awareness programme touched on some relevant aspects of health and hygiene like – safe drinking water, persol cleanliness, oral hygiene, pollution and clean environment. The introductory message was delivered by Prof. Pallavi Barooah, Head of the Department of Home Science, MDKG College and working president of PTA, wherein she focused on the objectives of the programme. An active member of PTA, Deepali Das offered some useful tips on daily exercise and yoga for healthy living with some demonstrations. The awareness programme was attended by the members of PTA and students of MDKG College along with the teachers of the school and over 150 school students. The programme ended with a lively interactive session with the audience.
