Awareness programme on road safety, traffic rules held

Morigaon, June 30: An awareness programme on ‘Road Safety and various issues of Traffic Rules’ was organized by District Transport Office in corporation with the district administration and Morigaon police at police point on Thursday.

To make aware people about frequently occurred road accidents, the department organized the programme. The programme was started with a street play titled Etia Kamor Samoi. A group of college students staged the play at the police point.

Under the initiative of Arun Bora, DTO, Morigaon, traffic personnel along with the officials of District Transport Office distributed leaflets of traffic rules among the bike riders and vehicle drivers.

On the other hand, the group of students also staged the play near Morigaon College. The programme was attended by Jayanta Bora, Circle Officer, Morigaon, and others.
