Awareness programme on sanitation in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Dec 6: The District Water and Sanitation Samiti organized an awareness programme at Golaghat Kamarbandha College on Tuesday. In the programme, the Executive Engineer of PHC, Monuranjan Saikia spoke about the aims of the programme and the necessity of proper toilets. Attending the programme as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Gourav Bothra appealed to the students and people of the district to make Golaghat as open defecation-free district. He also appealed to the people to keep their surroundings clean.  The Principal of Kamarbandha College, Debeswar Gogoi, officials of Public Health department along with more than 200 students were present in the programme.
