Awareness programme on social evils organised

SHILLONG, Dec 29: As a part of ‘Safe-Secure-Shillong’ Project the Meghalaya Police today conducted an awareness programme on the social evils and its preventions at Nongpiur village here.

The East Khasi Hills District (EKHD) Police have been covering the schools, colleges, localities and villages in the entire district to create awareness on the social evils and its preventions on the issues such as drugs and alcohol, cybercrime, crime against women and traffic awareness. M Kharkrang, Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Kharkrang attended a day-long programme as a resource person.
