JOYSAGAR, March 24: College students of Sivasagar have lent their support to Assam Women’s University (AWU), Jorhat. Sivasagar College students, Joysagar students’ union, Sivasagar Commerce College students and Sivasagar Girls’ College students staged a protest on Friday before their respective college gates and protested against the State Government’s decision to turn Assam Women’s University into a technical institute. The protesting students were supported by the All India Democratic Students’ Union and SFI, Sivasagar unit.
