AXX demands extension of NRC form submission date

GUWAHATI, August 11: The Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) has demanded the extension of the last date of NRC form submission from August 31 to October 30 for proper inclusion of all the citizens of the State in the NRC. ASS president Dhrubajyoti Borah in a press meet here on Monday said, “The State Government should include all the backward indigenous people of the state in NRC list without more complexities so that indigenous people are not left excluded from  the NRC list. The indigenous communities who can not produce legacy data, they should be included with the reference letter from government officials and for 100 per cent registration of the people of the state, the date should be extended till October 30.”
