Rangia, Dec 27: The 99th foundation day and the pre- centery year of Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) was observed with a two-day long programme in the entire Kamrup district from Saturday.
Ninety-nine persons from different walks of life hoisted the flag of AXX on Sunday morning. Different competitions including art, poem and song, semir and open session were also organized. In Rangia, Dakhin Panduri Xahitya Xabha and at Baramboy, Baramboy Xahitya Xabha observed the day-long programme. In the open session Raghu Ram Kalita, president, Dakhin Pandury Xahitya Xabha, Pabitra Kalita, president, Rangia Alochani Xabha, Riju Hazarika, former president, Kamrup district Xahitya Xabha and Partha Phookan Mahanta, Principal, Rangia Teachers’ Training College were the guests.
