Ayushman Bharat Divas celebrated

Hailakandi, May 1: Ayushman Bharat Divas was celebrated as part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan across Hailakandi district on Monday. Gram Sabha meetings were held in all the 62 Gaon Panchayats to generate awareness about the programme. Enrollment under National Health Protection Mission (NHPM) is based on data for socio-economic caste census (SECC). “Data collection is going on and will continue till May 7. Thereafter, it will be uploaded on the website,” said District Media Expert Monika Das. An annual health cover of Rs.5 lakh will be provided under NHPM. Families will be eligible for the scheme based on deprivation and occupational criteria as per SECC data. “The purpose of Ayushman Bharat Divas is to generate awareness about the programme, beneficiary verification, and generation of additional data,” said a health official.
