BA exam: Students get question paper up to two hours late

JAGIROAD, Dec 18: Hundreds of students of Raha College appearing for the BA fifth semester honours examitions under Gauhati University that commenced on Tuesday faced inconvenience at the examition hall as the college authorities failed to supply them the question papers of five subjects.

Sources said the honours students of History, Geography, Political Science, Economics and Education subjects were left panic-stricken in the examition hall after they were not given the question papers by invigilators on the first day of their fifth semester exams.

“When we asked for our question papers, the invigilators on duty said that the university authorities failed to despatch the question papers to our college,” the examinees said.

“The college authorities told us to wait for some hours till they arrange photocopy of the question papers from other institution,” said the students reacting on the bitter experience on the first day of their examitions scheduled to be held from 9 am.

Filly, the college authorities maged photocopy of the question papers of the respective subjects and distributed among the examinees, but the process took two hours time. “We were made to wait till 11.30 am for question papers and even extra time was not granted to us. The college and university have given us tense moment that has affected our performance,” aggrieved students.

Meanwhile, the parents of the students blamed the college authorities for their casual and negligent attitude that led to chaos.
