Baby abandoned

Golaghat (Dhekial), Sept 14: Sensation prevailed after a newborn baby was recovered from a garbage ground at Janpara under Golaghat Police Station on Thursday. According to eye witness, a light vehicle stopped near the bridge at Janpara and a woman came out from the vehicle. The woman threw a baby girl wrapped in clothes in the garbage dumping ground beneath the bridge and fled away. A youth med Imul Rahman recovered the baby from the dumping ground. Later, local people informed Golaghat Police. The baby was immediately admitted at Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital, Golaghat. Police are investigating the incident.
