BAC seeks improvement in BTC education scerio

KOKRAJHAR, May 3: The Bodoland Academic Council (BAC) organized a felicitation programme for newly-elected deputy chief of BTC, Kampa Borgoyary who is also the in-charge of Education Department, and Executive Member Doneswar Goyary at the Basic Training Centre auditorium on Sunday.

BAC, a council of Principals, Headmasters and Superintendants of Secondary Schools of BTC also submitted a memorandum to the Kampa Borgoyary. General Secretary of BAC, BP Upadhyay said that the post of Director of Education of BTC had not yet been sanctioned and similarly the staff of Inspector of schools, District Elementary Education Officers, Deputy Inspectors and some other posts had not yet been created or sanctioned. He demanded creation of these posts as early as possible.

The Bodoland Academic Council urged the BTC government to take initiative to complete Siksha Bhavan in all four districts by affording fincial aid for the greater interest of the teacher-community of BTC. The memorandum stated that mere establishment of higher educatiol institutions in BTAD was not enough and that primary and secondary education was lagging behind owing to lack of proper environment and proper supervision.

Upadhyay said that the government should come forward to provide fincial assistance for upgrading and popularizing science education among students through NCSC. He also said that Bharat Scout and Guide Co-ordition Committee within BTAD should be constituted for the uplift, smooth conduct and running of the programme.
