bajyoti lift Ankurjyoti Challenge title

GUWAHATI, Dec17: vajyoti Club lifted the Ratan Lal Singhania and Mohini Devi Singhania Memorial Ankurjyoti Challenge title defeating Mahara club by 48 runs in the fil held at the Judges ground here today. Elected to bat, vajyoti couldn’t do well and entire team were bowled out 127 runs. Roshan Alam (3/24) and Jogeswar Bhumij (3/33) shared six wickets between them.

However the bowlers made brilliant performance in the game and guided vajyoti to victory. Avijit Singha Roy, who made the best performer among all the bowlers in the game, bagged 3wickets for 13 runs and he got good support from Parviz Aziz (3-22).

Mahara were bowled out paltry 79 runs in 23 overs. Avijit Singha Roy later adjudged as Man of the Fil. Rajjakuddin Ahmed (Mahara AC) collected the best player award of the meet while Rahul Hazarika (City CC)  and Jogeswar Bhumij (Mahara AC) received best batsman and best bowler awards.
