Bale is 'world class': Wales coach Coleman

Cardiff, Sep 21: Welsh tiol football team coach Chris Coleman said on Monday that Spanish side Real Madrid's forward Gareth Bale is a "world class player," stressing that "he understands his value and importance in the squad".

In an interview with the world football's governing body FIFA's official website, the Welsh coach said, "We also know what he brings to the party when he puts a Wales jersey on," reports Efe. "What you see is his passion and his enjoyment when he plays for Wales - he's absolutely loving every minute of it."

"Of course the Welsh public adores him, as they should, and he now knows he has the capacity to surpass other people and get to a major tourment."

"That's where all great players should be performing." Coleman added.

Commenting on Wales's chances of qualifying for the Euro 2016 in France, he reassured, "Three points against Israel would have secured our place at France 2016, but we got the point and if before the camp we had been offered four points, we would have taken it. It's four closer to where we need to get to. We have two games remaining and need to get one more, so we're well on course."

At present, Wales leads Group B of the Euro 2016 qualifiers with 18 points, ahead of Belgium in second place with a one-point difference. IANS
