Ban on plastic products

Haflong, June 4: Vikram Dev Sharma, ACS and Addl. District Magistrate, Dima Hasao in exercising the powers conferred upon him imposed ban on use of plastic products, plastic bottles, food containers, packaging materials, polythene bags and other such materials under Section 144 CrPc specially in the areas of tourists spots, markets, riverside, lake, botanical garden and forest reserves etc., to control plastic pollution across the district as preventive measures to save the people and environment of the district from its adverse effects.
