Ban order on garbage burning

SHILLONG, July 23: The Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board has imposed a ban on burning of garbage as per provisions of the Solid Waste (Magement and Handling) Rules, 2000. A press release stated. Anyone found burning garbage or garden waste in the open will be strictly dealt with as per provisions of the law.
