Bandh affects Tamulpur

Tamulpur, Oct 13: Bandh called by ABMSU affected Tamulpur subdivision in the district of Baksa. During the 12-hour  bandh period, life of the common people became paralysed.  All the government, non government offices, shops, banks were closed during the bandh. Buses and commercial vehicles remained off the road throughout Baksa district and along Indo-Bhutan border. ABMSU activists gathered at various places of Tamulpur and shouted slogans against government and Assam police demanding arrest of the culprits associated with the killing of ABMSU president Lafikul Islam. No casualty has been reported.
