Bandh cripples normal life in Haflong

Haflong, May 11:  Normal life at Haflong came to a total halt on Wednesday following the bandh call given by the Congress party.  The three wings of the party, Dima Hasao Mahila Congress, Dima Hasao Youth Congress and NSUI called a 12-hour-Dima Hasao bandh from 5 am to 5 pm today demanding safe release of Jiban Kemprai who was kidpped by some unidentified miscreants on January 27. All the business establishments, edicatiol institutions, banks and market remain closed. Vehicles also remain off the roads.
