Bandh cripples normal life in Tangla

TANGLA, Feb 9: The normal life came to a total halt today as the commercial establishments including banks; shops and educatiol institutions remained closed in the town from dawn to dusk on Thursday following the bandh called by All BTC Bengali Youth Students’ Federation. The organization called the banh in protest against the arrest of three people who were declared to be Bangladeshi tiols by Foreigners Tribul, Udalguri.  As per information on February 7 last a team of special police picked up one male Krish Das (36) and two females Minku Das (30) and Chitrabala Das (42) who are inhabitants of Rupakhat village under Tangla PS after they were declared Bangladeshi tiols by Foreigners Tribul, Udalguri.  In a press statement the All BTC Bengali Youth Students’ Federation, Udalguri district committee said despite the fact that the three people had all valid documents to prove their tiolity they have been arrested in the me of Bangladeshi citizens.  The students’ body termed the act as violation of human right. The chief advisor of the students’ body Shymal Sarkar had alleged that the Bengali Hindus have been meted out torture by the saffron party in detention camps in the me of the detection of Bangladeshi tiols .The students’ body has exhorted the government for immediate release of the three people at the earliest. The students’ body also threatened launching democratic protest if their voices are not heard.
