Bandh paralyzes normal life

DEMOW, Dec 27: The Assam bandh which was called by the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) on Wednesday to demand ST status for the six communities of Assam and against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, was successful in Demow.

The activists of ATASU Demow Regiol Committee burnt tyres at NH-37 Road on Wednesday morning and shouted various slogans against the State Government. All shops, banks and business establishments remained closed and normal life was paralyzed in Demow.
