Bangladeshi ferrying broker Farooq not yet traced

GUWAHATI: The GRP is yet to trace Farooq, a broker who has been instrumental in ferrying Bangladeshis staying in various parts on India to Bangladesh. The 31 Bangladeshis, who had been arrested from Guwahati Railway Station on October 15 this year, did mention that it was Farooq who was leading them to Agartala by the Kanchenjunga Express. From Tripura, the Bangladeshis were supposed to enter Bangladesh. They also told the investigators that each of them had paid Farooq up to Rs 12,000 for ferrying them to Bangladesh.
