Bangladeshi tiol held

MANGALDAI, November 28:  In spite of the much claimed tight security and the vigilance along the Indo-Bangladesh border particularly in the river area, illegal crossing of people from Bangladesh to India has been going on ubated.
This was evident from the statement by a Bangladeshi citizen who was arrested by police of Dalgaon Police Station in Darrang district. The Bangladeshi tiol who identified himself as Moklesh Ali (50) of village Kristopur-Daripara under Sherpur Police Station of Sherpur district in Bangladesh, gave a  statement before police that he illegally entered the Assam boundary by boat using the river route starting at  Hatsingimari. He was picked up on FRiday night from the house of a woman in Besimari Pathar village where he had been taking shelter for the last 20 days. On Saturday police produced him before the court and have started necessary judicial procedures for deportation.
