Bank account hacked, money withdrawn

JOYSAGAR, Feb 20: Cyber crimils and ATM hackers are now active in Sivasagar district too.

 A case of hacking into a bank account and withdrawing money came into light when a teacher, Pushpa Lata  Gogoi, lodged an FIR in Sivasagar Sadar Police Station. In her complaint, the teacher said that some unknown person had withdrawn Rs 25,000 from her SBI, Sivasagar branch account without her knowledge.

Before this incident, two other school teachers too were duped by hackers who had withdrawn money from their bank accounts.
