Bank customer's money looted

Tezpur, Nov 14: Sensation prevailed on Monday at Dhekiajuli under Dhekiajuli Police Station in Sonitpur district following pillage of customer’s money by a miscreant in front of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, Dhekiajuli that was carried by a female member of Irani Group.

Sources said that on Monday morning, a female member of Irani Group came to Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, Dhekiajuli branch carrying a bag of money of the customers to deposit in the bank when suddenly a miscreant stching the bag ran away. Later, with the help of the local people, Dhekiajuli Police maged to arrest the miscreant identified as Sagar Das (25). On quizzing, the miscreant confessed that he was from West Bengal and on Monday morning, he came from Guwahati to Dhekiajuli. On the other hand, police recovered various tools used for robbery from his possession, sources said.
