Bank employee looted in broad daylight

NAGAON, July 4: A gang of dacoits on motorcycle, well-equipped with arms and ammunition, looted cash around Rs 1.5 lakh from a female Bandhan Bank employee on Wednesday near Amani, a place close to Borhampur bazaar under Nagaon sadar police station. The incident took place when the female employee was coming to Borhampur branch of Bandhan Bank to deposit the money after collecting weekly premium from various groups in the greater Chalchali area. According to police sources, the bank employee, Madhabi Biswash was on the way back to the Barhampur branch on her scooty when three dacoits, well equipped with arms and ammunition, stopped her near Amani and snatched the key of the scooty. They then opened the box of the scooty and looted all the money kept inside box and then disappeared. In connection with the incident, Biswash lodged an FIR in Itachali town outpost.
