Bank employee shot at, looted by miscreants

BATADRAVA, Nov 21: Sensation prevailed at Hatimuria under Moirabari police station, Morigaon on Monday when an employee of Bandhan Bank, Moirabari branch, Kuldeep Borah was allegedly shot at and looted by three motorcycle-borne unidentified miscreants in broad daylight at Hatimuria village. The miscreants fled with his bag containing the bank’s cash worth Rs. 1 lakh. According to police, the incident took place around 12:45 pm when the Bandhan Bank employee Kuldeep was on his way to Moirabari branch after collecting Rs 1 lakh from the Hatimuria Bandhan group. Suddenly, three armed miscreants riding a motorcycle stopped him forcibly near Hatimuria Balika Muktab School and pointed a gun at him. One of them shot around 10-12 rounds of bullets at Kuldeep who fell on the ground and in the meantime, they stched his bag containing the money and fled.  Meanwhile, injured Kuldeep was admitted immediately in Moirabari Hospital by the local people but later he was sent to gaon BP Civil Hospital for better treatment. Kuldeep was in a critical condition till filing of this report. Moirabari Police are investigating the incident.
