Bank magers directed to keep adequate currency notes

Dibrugarh, Nov 10: Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri, while attending a meeting, directed all the Bank Magers in the district to keep adequate number of notes of denomition Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 20 and Rs 10 to meet the demands of the people in the view of demonetization of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes by the Central Government. The magement of all the tea gardens in the district have been asked by the Deputy Commissioner to make efforts to create a peaceful environment after discussion with the tea workers’ union till the required amount for payments of wages is not withdrawn from the banks.  Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri has appealed to the people not to panic but  extend their cooperation to bank officials and employees as the last date for exchange of old notes at all banks and post offices is  December 30, a DIPRO press release stated.
